  • City-owned ambulance service established in 1969
  • Basic life support (BLS) service licensed through the State of Minnesota
  • Department serves 9 cities and 14 townships
  • Members are emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and respond to emergency calls and provide care to the critically ill and injury
  • Members are appointed by the Council upon recommendation
  • Department can have up to 30 members
