Melrose is located on the I-94 corridor with quick access to the St. Cloud, Alexandria, and the metro areas. There are a variety of outdoor options to offer with an extensive trail system, lakes, and hunting opportunities. Applicants must be flexible to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Officers get every other weekend off, their own squad car, numerous training opportunities, uniforms provided, fully paid health insurance, and up to $200 match for HSA. Officers are members of LELS union.
The 2026 salary range is $35.71 - $42.51 per hour DOQ.
