Construction continues on the remodeled restroom in Sauk River Park. It will have showers for the campers. If you have not visited yet, check out these great fire rings. They are paid for/sponsored by local organizations and businesses. They were custom cut by CAP Enterprises. Thank you everyone for your support!

With the extremely high temperatures, Melrose Public Utilities is asking customers to conserve energy throughout the week as much as possible. You can limit your electrical usage by: turning up your thermostat a few degrees, closing your drapes or blinds during the day, shutting off all unnecessary lights and equipment, and delaying using appliances until later in the evening. Your efforts to reduce electric usage will help us all. Thank you for making these adjustments in your homes and businesses.

What's happening Melrose? The remodeled restroom with showers is under construction in the Sauk River Park. The campground opens at noon TODAY. We plan to add a full-size basketball court soon. Kwik Trip is busy with dirt work. They plan a December opening. The Riverside Flats development (29 apartments and 5 retail spaces) is digging next to City Center. They will be open next summer. The 4th Street project (behind Subway, Spiritz and Dollar General) will be doing curb and gutter work next. The project should be done early in August.
