The sidewalk is being poured at the Melrose City Center. Please stay off of the sidewalk until 230pm today. There will be signs to follow on how to enter the building to avoid walking on the sidewalk.


Please be aware that there are several scams, spam notices, or in some cases postcards or letters being sent to individuals through the mail or on Social media regarding the drinking water supply in Melrose causing health issues. The City of Melrose drinking water supply is safe and all residents were mailed a brochure that discusses the drinking water supply in June 2025. The City Center parking lot is being re-constructed with new paving, sidewalks, curb, and gutter. The gravel lot to the west of the City Center and street parking will be for library visitors and individuals using the City Center. Please exercise care during construction and watch for equipment and hazards.

Starting Monday July 7th crews will be removing the pavement for street projects on 8th Street NE (Highlands) and 5th Avenue NW (past CURA & Park View).
These projects are primarily street resurfacing, with some curb work.
Except for temporary closures – the roads will be open for traffic. Please be aware of the construction equipment and workers and proceed with caution.
The project is expected to be complete by early August.

The intersection of 3rd St. and Central Ave S will be closed on July 2nd, 2025 from 8am-3pm for maintenance, thank you.


Tri-CAP has been serving low and moderated income residents since 1965.The new program will begin on October 1st, 2025 for the 2025-2026 Energy Assistance Program to help households who have disconnection notices, shut offs, and low on fuel or out of fuel.
